Chōjamachi Station

is a railway station operated by JR East's Sotobō Line located in Isumi, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is 52.1 kilometers from the terminus of the Sotobō Line at Chiba Station.
==History==
Chōjamachi Station was opened on December 13, 1899 as a station on the Bōsō Railway. On September 1, 1907, the Bōsō Railway was nationalized and became part of the Japanese Government Railways, which was transformed into the Japan National Railways (JNR) after World War II. Freight operations were discontinued on October 1, 1962. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japan National Railways on April 1, 1987.
